Well-known New Yorkers Cecelia Crowley and Fred Newcomb have joined the Safe America Board of Directors, with goals of helping raise funds in New York for Safe America and our new WorldSafe Institute.
Mr. Newcomb, well-regarded on Wall Street as a ‘significant financier’ who’s helped the U.S. Treasury along with major firms. One example is Samsung who Fred helped enter into North America market over 30 years ago. Fred currently has work to help New York bolster its public safety; and, is offering to enlist major New York business leaders into funding the ‘Safety for COPS’ (Communities Opting for Public Safety) task force that Safe America is organizing for 2021 this fall. Fred’s wife, Cecelia (nicknamed ‘Cece’), has also offered to help the Fall Forum; and has invited several high-profile executives including a former U.S. Navy security officer who oversaw American military during a crisis in the Horn of Africa. Ms. Crowley is also enlisting other executives – and women – to become part of Safe America’s “CEO Network” (which stands for ‘Community Enhancement Officer).
“Prior to COVID-19, Fred and Cece invited me to have dinner with them in Manhattan; and we had a great time,” noted President & CEO Len Pagano. “While we had a delay because of COVID-19, we’re now working hard – and fast – to assess what we can do in 2021,” Pagano added.”I’m ecstatic of their desire to help – and to take us to a ‘higher level’ of support in Manhattan.”
Pagano noted that Fred and Cece will be scheduled for Zoom discussions with Board members over the next month (to introduce them prior to the Fall Forum).
