ALERT Marietta GA sex trafficking ring thwarted …the danger is real!

Police have arrested several people who allegedly  “ran a human sex trafficking operation out of a Marietta hotel.”

A 15-year-old girl phoned Marietta Police 911 Monday and  told operators she was being trafficked for sex.  Four people were arrested in connection with the call …and two were female, with one being just 17 years of age.

The 17-year old female “did the child’s makeup, took the photos of her that were posted online and set up “dates” for her to have sex with strangers for money.” according to law enforcement at the scene.

All remain held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

Cobb District Attorney Vic Reynolds says “we probably have 10 to 12 human trafficking cases pending …they’re just very difficult to make.”

“What makes the cases difficult to prosecute is the reluctance of victims to speak with authorities, Reynolds said, adding they are often intimidated by their captors and told they will be hurt or killed if they speak to police.”

To be sure, this article highlights  the need to address the issue of human trafficking as a priority within the state and Metro Atlanta area.
