Clayton County, Safe America Join Forces; Focus on Human Trafficking ‘Rescue Unit’
A unique element will be a human trafficking recovery van that can incorporate police, EMS and medical personnel, shortening the process of recovery and reducing the anxiety of those rescued.
"By blending the multiple steps into a single 'mobile recovery unit,' we can shorten the process of recovery, reducing the fear and anxiety youth suffer," Pagano noted. "Kudos to Clayton County and its Fire EMS Department for a vision that can become the standard model across the entire country."
Under the acronym HEART - or Human Exploitation Anti-trafficking Response Team – it will be showcased during October 26-28 at the WorldSafe Summit in Atlanta, GA at the Omni Hotel @ CNN Center.
